The DHS Foundation is committed to the development and upliftment of Durban High School through partnership with the school community of Old Boys, parents, staff, and learners. We aim to ensure the continued growth of DHS as a centre of excellence, learning and opportunity.

The DHS Foundation has been established to generate financial support for DHS and is committed to the development and upliftment of Durban High School

The DHS Foundation provides opportunities to pledge support, whether it be financial or in the form of sharing expertise, in order to ensure that the strategic objectives of Durban High School are met now and in the future.

Old Boys

Projects

Among the improvements made to the school by various Old Boys and the Foundation

  • the refurbishment of Blackmore House,
  • a world class music centre which is Trinity Internationally accredited,
  • the revamping of the Seabrooke Theatre,
  • the establishment of the Victor Daitz Mathematics and Science facility,
  • the upgrade of our Media Centre as well as the DHS Museum, in 2019
  • the Cambridge Academy,
  • the Indoor Cricket Centre, completed in 2019
  • the Astro Turf, completed in February 2023
  • the Memorial Pavilion, opened in April 2023
  • the Grade 8 ‘Sas’ Nourse Dorm, opened in January 2023
  • the Justin Carr Memorial Pavilion, opened in October 2023

  • the extension of the Cambridge Academy, completed in 2023.
  • a new 32-seater bus, end of 2023.
